ಪಿತೃಗಳನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಭಕ್ತಿಯಿಂದ ಮಧುಸಂಯುತ ಪಾಯಸವನ್ನು, ಬೆಲ್ಲ, ತುಪ್ಪ ಮತ್ತು ಎಳ್ಳಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಗಂಗಾಜಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಅರ್ಪಿಸುವವನು ಮಹಾ ಪಿತೃತರ್ಪಣವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
