महादेव उवाच । कथं व्यग्राः सुराः सर्वे बृहस्पतिपुरोगमाः । तत्समाचक्ष्व मां ब्रह्मन्भवतां दुःखकारणम्
mahādeva uvāca | kathaṃ vyagrāḥ surāḥ sarve bṛhaspatipurogamāḥ | tatsamācakṣva māṃ brahmanbhavatāṃ duḥkhakāraṇam
ಮಹಾದೇವನು ಹೇಳಿದರು—“ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂಚಿಟ್ಟು ಎಲ್ಲ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಏಕೆ ವ್ಯಗ್ರರಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ? ಹೇ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮನ್ (ಬ್ರಹ್ಮಾ), ನಿಮ್ಮ ದುಃಖದ ಕಾರಣವನ್ನು ನನಗೆ ತಿಳಿಸು।”
