सतिर्यक्पशुपक्षीकं स्वेदाण्डजजरायुजम् । एतदण्डं पुराणेषु प्रथमं परिकीर्तितम्

Transliteration

satiryakpaśupakṣīkaṃ svedāṇḍajajarāyujam | etadaṇḍaṃ purāṇeṣu prathamaṃ parikīrtitam

Translation

ಅದರಿಂದ ತಿರ್ಯಕ್—ಪಶು, ಪಕ್ಷಿ ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಭಿನ್ನ ಜನ್ಮಗಳ ಜೀವಿಗಳು ಹುಟ್ಟಿದವು—ಸ್ವೇದಜ, ಅಂಡಜ, ಜರಾಯುಜ. ಪುರಾಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಈ ಅಂಡವನ್ನೇ ಮೊದಲನೆಯದು ಎಂದು ಕೀರ್ತಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
