न शूद्राय मतिं दद्यान्नोच्छिष्टं न हविष्कृतम् । न चास्योपदिशेद्धर्मं न चास्य व्रतमादिशेत्
na śūdrāya matiṃ dadyānnocchiṣṭaṃ na haviṣkṛtam | na cāsyopadiśeddharmaṃ na cāsya vratamādiśet
ಶೂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಮತಿ/ಉಪದೇಶ ನೀಡಬಾರದು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಉಚ್ಛಿಷ್ಟವನ್ನು ಕೊಡಬಾರದು, ಹವಿಸ್ಸಾಗಿ ಸಿದ್ಧಪಡಿಸಿದ ಅರ್ಪಣವನ್ನೂ ಕೊಡಬಾರದು; ಅವನಿಗೆ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶ ಮಾಡಬಾರದು, ಅವನಿಗೆ ವ್ರತವನ್ನೂ ವಿಧಿಸಬಾರದು.
