Bhṛgu
Tirtha: Pañcakrośa-kṣetra (unnamed here) in Revā-khaṇḍa
Type: kshetra
Scene: Bhṛgu reports the curse: a map-like visualization of a five-krośa circle around the kṣetra, with fading Vedic symbols (yajña-kuṇḍa, śruti scrolls) and a departing goddess (Padmā) leaving a shadow of impurity; Bhṛgu’s face shows concern and urgency.
Even a famed holy region can decline through a śāpa (curse); restoration requires divine intervention aligned with dharma.
A five-krośa Bhṛgu-kṣetra in the Revā Khaṇḍa setting (Narmadā/Revā sacred landscape).
No direct rite is prescribed here; the verse explains the cause (Padmā’s curse) for later prescriptions of purification.
