samāgatau tadā dṛṣṭau madhye jvalitapāvakau | puṇyapāpāni jantūnāṃ śrutismṛtyarthapāragau

Translation

ಆಗ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದವರಾಗಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು; ಅವರು ಜ್ವಲಿಸುವ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿದ್ದರು. ಅವರು ಜೀವಿಗಳ ಪುಣ್ಯಪಾಪಗಳನ್ನು ವಿಚಾರಿಸುವವರು, ಶ್ರುತಿ-ಸ್ಮೃತಿಗಳ ಅರ್ಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾರಂಗತರು.
