भग्नदंष्ट्रांकुराक्रान्तप्रान्तकान्तधराधरः । सव्यश्रवणपार्श्वांतमंडलीकृतकुण्डलः
bhagnadaṃṣṭrāṃkurākrāntaprāntakāntadharādharaḥ | savyaśravaṇapārśvāṃtamaṃḍalīkṛtakuṇḍalaḥ
ಅವನ ಮನೋಹರ, ಪರ್ವತಸಮಾನ ಕಂಠವು ಮುರಿದ ದಂತಾಗ್ರಗಳ ಒತ್ತಡದಿಂದ ಅಂಚುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರುತು ಪಡೆದಿತ್ತು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ಎಡ ಕಿವಿಯ ಬಳಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನ ಕುಂಡಲವು ವಲಯವಾಗಿ ಮಡಚಿಕೊಂಡು ವೃತ್ತಾಕಾರವಾಗಿತ್ತು.

It supports saguna-dhyāna: the mind is steadied by contemplating Shiva’s auspicious, vividly described form, which in Shaiva Siddhanta becomes a doorway to realizing Pati (the Lord) beyond bondage.
While Linga worship points to Shiva’s transcendent reality, such iconographic verses legitimize personal-form devotion (saguna upāsanā), helping devotees fix attention and offer bhakti that matures into inner realization.
Practice Shiva-dhyāna alongside japa of the Panchakshara ("Om Namaḥ Śivāya"), visualizing Shiva’s ornaments and serene presence; this complements Linga-pūjā with focused inner worship.
