evaṃ vyāsasamutpannaḥ satyavatyāṃ parāśarāt | purāṇasaṃhitāścakre mahābhāratamuttamam

Translation

ಈ ರೀತಿ ಸತ್ಯವತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪರಾಶರರಿಂದ ವ್ಯಾಸನು ಜನ್ಮಿಸಿದನು. ನಂತರ ಅವನು ಪುರಾಣಸಂಹಿತೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಹಾಗೂ ಪರಮೋತ್ತಮ ಮಹಾಭಾರತವನ್ನೂ ರಚಿಸಿದನು.
