The verse presents a Shaiva ethical ideal: universal goodwill (ānukūlya) toward all beings and a transformed, purified disposition arising from divine darśana—an inner shift that supports liberation-oriented living.
In Shaiva practice, darśana of Saguna Shiva (including Linga worship) is not merely external; it refines the devotee’s mind into compassion and harmony, showing that true worship expresses itself as benevolence toward all beings.
A practical takeaway is to pair daily Shiva-darśana (Linga worship) with a vow of non-harming and friendliness—supported by japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as a discipline to stabilize that attitude.
