sūryyaṃ hi pṛṣṭhataḥ kṛtvā somaṃ vā varavarṇini | śuklāmbaradharassragvī gaṃdhadhūpādivāsitaḥ

Translation

ಹೇ ವರವರ್ಣಿನಿ, ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ಬೆನ್ನ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇಟ್ಟುಕೊಂಡು—ಅಥವಾ ಚಂದ್ರನನ್ನು—ಅವನು ಬಿಳಿ ವಸ್ತ್ರ ಧರಿಸಿ, ಹಾರವನ್ನು ಧರಿಸಿ, ಗಂಧ-ಧೂಪಾದಿಗಳಿಂದ ಸುಗಂಧಿತನಾಗಿರಬೇಕು.
