Tripuramohana — “The Delusion/Enchanting of Tripura”
pūrvasūribhirityuktaṃ satpramāṇatayā dhruvam | tasmānna hiṃsā karttavyo narairnarakabhīrubhiḥ
Suta Goswami (narrating the Shiva Purana teaching to the sages)
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
Significance: Positions ahiṃsā as śāstra-pramāṇa grounded; supports dharmic fear of naraka as a deterrent that turns the soul away from pāśa-producing karma.
It affirms ahimsa as an authoritative, seer-endorsed dharma: avoiding harm purifies the pashu (bound soul) and supports the Shaiva path toward grace and liberation.
Linga-worship is grounded in purity of conduct; devotion to Saguna Shiva is strengthened when the devotee practices compassion and restraint, aligning outer worship with inner dharma.
Adopt a vrata of non-violence alongside Shiva-upasana—daily japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with a compassionate, non-injuring intention.
