Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Role: teaching
It highlights Shiva as dīnavatsala—merciful to the suffering—and frames satya (truth) as a dharmic vow that must be upheld, aligning devotion with ethical integrity.
By praising Shiva’s accessible compassion, it supports Saguna devotion: the devotee approaches the manifest Lord (as worshipped in the Linga) trusting His protective grace toward the afflicted.
A practical takeaway is satya-niyama (truthfulness) alongside bhakti—daily remembrance of Shiva with the Panchakshara mantra “Om Namaḥ Śivāya,” offered with sincere intent for relief and inner steadiness.
