ನಂತರ ಶಂಭುವಿನ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಆಜ್ಞೆಯಿಂದ, ಶಿವನ ದೇಹದ ಒಂದು ಅಂಶವನ್ನು ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು, ಆ ಪ್ರಜಾಪತಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞಪಶು—ಮೇಕೆಯ—ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಜೋಡಿಸಿದರು।
