दक्षस्य प्रजावृद्ध्युपायः — Dakṣa’s Means for Increasing Progeny
शशापेति शुचा दक्षस्त्वां तदा साधुसंमतम् । बुबोध नेश्वरेच्छां स शिवमायाविमोहितः
śaśāpeti śucā dakṣastvāṃ tadā sādhusaṃmatam | bubodha neśvarecchāṃ sa śivamāyāvimohitaḥ
ಆಗ ದುಃಖದಿಂದ ಆವರಿತನಾದ ದಕ್ಷನು—ನೀನು ಸಾಧುಜನಸಮ್ಮತಳಾಗಿದ್ದರೂ—ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸಿದನು. ಶಿವಮಾಯೆಯಿಂದ ವಿಮೋಹಿತನಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಈಶ್ವರೇಚ್ಛೆಯನ್ನು ಅರಿಯಲಿಲ್ಲ।

It highlights that even socially powerful figures like Daksha can fall into delusion when ego and sorrow dominate; liberation-oriented wisdom arises by aligning with Īśvara-icchā (the Lord’s will) rather than reactive judgment.
Daksha’s failure is not merely moral but theological—he cannot recognize Shiva’s sovereign will; Saguna Shiva worship (including Linga devotion) trains the devotee to surrender pride and accept the Lord’s governance beyond personal likes and status.
A practical takeaway is daily japa of the Panchakshara mantra (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) with an attitude of śaraṇāgati (surrender), using vibhūti (Tripuṇḍra) and/or rudrākṣa as reminders to overcome māyā-born ego and grief.
