Shiva Form: Dakṣiṇāmūrti
Sthala Purana: Not a Jyotirliṅga narrative; it depicts Nārada’s inspired music as Śiva-preraṇā—grace that turns the bound soul’s faculties (speech/sound) toward Brahman-realization and devotion.
Significance: Affirms nāda (sacred sound) and kīrtana as vehicles of Śiva-bhakti; pilgrims and temple traditions often connect such motifs to devotional music in Śiva temples.
Type: stotra
It highlights Śiva’s anugraha (grace): even a realized sage like Nārada is moved by Śiva from within, and devotion becomes effortless when the mind rests in Śambhu.
The verse emphasizes Saguna Śiva as Śambhu—the personal Lord who actively inspires the devotee’s bhakti; such inner prompting supports outer worship like Linga-pūjā by keeping the mind continuously Shiva-centered.
A takeaway is nāma-smaraṇa and nāda-bhakti: engage sacred sound (kīrtana/japa) while holding a steady Shiva-focused mind (śambhu-manas), which aligns with Panchākṣarī japa—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya.”
