देवा ऊचुः । कृत्वा प्रतिज्ञां यो मूढो नाऽऽपादयति पूर्णताम् । भाजनं तस्य पापस्य त्वद्वीर्यं येन निह्नुतम्
devā ūcuḥ | kṛtvā pratijñāṃ yo mūḍho nā''pādayati pūrṇatām | bhājanaṃ tasya pāpasya tvadvīryaṃ yena nihnutam
ದೇವರು ಹೇಳಿದರು—ಪ್ರತಿಜ್ಞೆ ಮಾಡಿ ಅದನ್ನು ಪೂರ್ಣತೆಗೆ ತಲುಪಿಸದ ಆ ಮೂಢನು, ನಿನ್ನ ದಿವ್ಯ ವೀರ್ಯವನ್ನು ನಿರಾಕರಿಸಿ ಮರೆಮಾಡಿದ ಆ ಪಾಪಕ್ಕೆ ಪಾತ್ರನಾಗಲಿ।
