Sukta 9.86
इषमूर्जं पवमानाभ्यर्षसि श्येनो न वंसु कलशेषु सीदसि । इन्द्राय मद्वा मद्यो मदः सुतो दिवो विष्टम्भ उपमो विचक्षणः ॥
íṣam ū́rjaṃ pavamānā́bhy arṣasi śyénō ná vaṃsú kalaśéṣu sīdasi | índrāya mádvā mádyo mádaḥ sutó divó viṣṭámbha upamó vi-cakṣáṇaḥ ||
ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಆಹಾರವೂ ಊರ್ಜವೂ ತಂದು, ಹೇ ಪವಮಾನ, ನೀನು ಹರಿದು ಮುಂದುವರೆಯುತ್ತೀ; ಶ್ಯೇನ (ಗಿಡುಗ) ತನ್ನ ವಸು (ನೆಲೆ) ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹಾರುವಂತೆ, ನೀನು ಕಲಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೆಲೆಸುತ್ತೀ. ಒತ್ತಿ ಹೊರತೆಗೆದವನೇ, ನೀನು ಇಂದ್ರನಿಗೆ ಮದ—ಮತ್ತಿನ ಆನಂದ—ಆಗಿದ್ದೀ; ನೀನು ದ್ಯೌದ ಆಧಾರ, ಪರಮ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಶಾಲದರ್ಶಿ.
