विश्वस्य राजा पवते स्वर्दृश ऋतस्य धीतिमृषिषाळवीवशत् । यः सूर्यस्यासिरेण मृज्यते पिता मतीनामसमष्टकाव्यः ॥

Transliteration

víśvasya rājā pavate svàr-dṛśaḥ ṛtásya dhītím ṛṣiṣā́ḷ avīvaśat | yáḥ sū́ryasyā́sireṇa mṛ́jyate pitā́ matīnā́m ásamaṣṭa-kāvyaḥ ||

Translation

ಎಲ್ಲದರ ರಾಜನು ಪವಮಾನನಾಗಿ ಹರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಸ್ವರ್ (ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ಲೋಕ)ವನ್ನು ನೋಡುವವನು; ಋತ (ಸತ್ಯ-ಕ್ರಮ)ದ ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಧೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ, ಋಷಿಷಾಳ—ಕುಋಷಿತ್ವವನ್ನು ಭೇದಿಸುವವನು. ಸೂರ್ಯನ ತೀಕ್ಷ್ಣ ಅಂಚಿನಿಂದ ಶುದ್ಧಿಗೊಳ್ಳುವವನು, ಮತಿಗಳು (ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಚಿಂತನೆಗಳು)ಯ ಪಿತೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಅಸಮಾನ, ಅಪ್ರತಿಮ ಸಂಯೋಜನೆಯ ಕವಿ.
