आ मन्द्रमा वरेण्यमा विप्रमा मनीषिणम् । पान्तमा पुरुस्पृहम् ॥

Transliteration

ā́ mandrám ā́ váreṇyam ā́ vípram ā́ manīṣíṇam | pā́ntam ā́ puru-spṛ́ham ||

Translation

ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತರುವುದು ಆ ಆನಂದಮಯ (ಮಂದ್ರ) ಮತ್ತು ವರೇಣ್ಯವಾದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠನನ್ನು; ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತರುವುದು ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಋಷಿ (ವಿಪ್ರ) ಮತ್ತು ಮನನಶೀಲ ಜ್ಞಾನಿ (ಮನೀಷಿಣ)ಯನ್ನು—ರಕ್ಷಿತ (ಪಾಂತಮ) ಮತ್ತು ಬಹು-ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿತ (ಪುರುಸ್ಪೃಹ), ನಮ್ಮ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಾ.
