सखाय आ नि षीदत पुनानाय प्र गायत । शिशुं न यज्ञैः परि भूषत श्रिये ॥
Transliteration
sákhāya ā́ ní ṣīdata punānā́ya prá gāyata | śíśuṃ ná yajñáir pári bhūṣata śríye ||
Translation
ಹೇ ಸಖಿಗಳೇ, ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕುಳಿತು ಸ್ವಯಂ-ಶುದ್ಧನಾಗುವ ಪವಮಾನನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಗಾನಮಾಡಿರಿ. ಯಜ್ಞಕರ್ಮಗಳಿಂದ ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಿಶುವನ್ನು ಅಲಂಕರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಪರಿಭೂಷಿಸಿರಿ—ಶ್ರೀ (ಶೋಭೆ) ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಲೆಂದು.
