नाभा नाभिं न आ ददे चक्षुश्चित्सूर्ये सचा । कवेरपत्यमा दुहे ॥
Transliteration
nā́bhā nā́bhiṃ na ā́ dade cákṣuś cit sū́rye sácā | kavér apátyam ā́ duhe ||
Translation
ಅವನು ನಮಗೆ ನಾಭಿ—ಅಸ್ತಿತ್ವದ ಮಧ್ಯಗಂಟು—ಅರ್ಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಸೂರ್ಯನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಹಚರವಾಗಿ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯ ಕಣ್ಣನ್ನೂ ನೀಡುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಕವಿಯ ಅಪತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಅವನು ನಮ್ಮಿಗಾಗಿ ದೋಹುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಜನನವನ್ನು.
