यदद्य कच्च वृत्रहन्नुदगा अभि सूर्य । सर्वं तदिन्द्र ते वशे ॥

yád adyá kác ca vṛtrahan úd agāḥ abhí sū́rya | sárvaṃ tád índra te váśe ||

ಇಂದು, ಹೇ ವೃತ್ರಹನ್, ನೀನು ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಏನನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಉದ್ಗಾರಿಸಿ—ಎತ್ತಿ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದೀಯೋ, ಅದು ಎಲ್ಲವೂ, ಹೇ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನಿನ್ನ ವಶದಲ್ಲಿದೆ; ಬೆಳಕಿನ ಕಡೆಗೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಗತಿ ನಿನ್ನ ಕರ್ಮವೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಅಧೀನತೆಯೂ ಆಗಿದೆ.
