Transliteration
bṛhád indrā́ya gāyata máruto vṛtrahántamam | yéna jyótir ájanayan ṛtā́vṛdho deváṃ devā́ya jā́gṛvi ||
Translation
ಓ ಮರುತಗಳೇ, ಇಂದ್ರನಿಗಾಗಿ—ವಿಶಾಲವಾದ—ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವನ್ನು ಹಾಡಿರಿ; ಆವರಕ (ವೃತ್ರ)ನ ಮಹಾ ಸಂಹಾರಕನಿಗೆ. ಯಾರ ಮೂಲಕ ನೀವು ಬೆಳಕನ್ನು ಜನ್ಮಗೊಳಿಸಿದಿರಿ—ಋತವನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಸುವವರೇ—ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗಿನ ದೇವತ್ವಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವನನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿರಿ.
