ಈ ಚಿಕ್ಕ ಕಾṇ್ವ ಸ್ತೋತ್ರವು ಮುಖ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನು “ತೋಳದಂತೆ” ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ರಕ್ಷಕನಾಗಿ ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ; ಅವನ ವಿಶಾಲ, ಕ್ಷೀಣಿಸದ ದಾನವು ಭಕ್ತನಾದ ಅನ್ವೇಷಕನಿಗೆ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟವಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಗೋವುಗಳು, ಸೇವೆ, ಸಂಪನ್ಮೂಲಗಳು ಮುಂತಾದ ಸ್ಪಷ್ಟ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಇಂದ್ರನ ವಿಸ್ತಾರಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಚಿಹ್ನೆಯಾಗಿ ಆಚರಿಸುತ್ತದೆ. ಅಂತ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಯ ಯಜ್ಞಮೋಡ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ: ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತ ಹವಿರ್ವಾಹಕನಾದ ಅಗ್ನಿ ಜಾಗೃತನಾಗಿ, ಸೂರ್ಯನ ಕಿರಣತೇಜಸ್ಸನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ—ಇಂದ್ರನ ವರಗಳನ್ನು ಯಜ್ಞಾಗ್ನಿಯ ಪ್ರಕಟನೆಗೆ ಜೋಡಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

ಹೇ ಬಲಿಷ್ಠ ವೃಕ (ವೃಕ), ದಾಸ್ಯವೇ—ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಸಾಧಕನ ಕಡೆಗೆ—ನಿನ್ನ ಅಕ್ಷಯ ರಾಧಃ (ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ) ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಗಿದೆ; ದ್ಯೌಃ (ಆಕಾಶ) ತನ್ನ ವಿಶಾಲ ಪ್ರಥಿನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಗೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವದೋ, ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಶವಃ (ಬಲ, ಪ್ರಭಾವ) ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.

दश मह्यं पौतक्रतः सहस्रा दस्यवे वृकः । नित्याद्रायो अमंहत ॥
ಪೌತಕ್ರತ (ಶುದ್ಧಿಕಾರಕ ಸಂಕಲ್ಪವಂತ) ವೃಕನು ದಾಸ್ಯವೇಗಾಗಿ ಸಹಸ್ರಗಳನ್ನು, ನನಗಾಗಿ ದಶವನ್ನು ದಾನಮಾಡಿದನು; ನಿತ್ಯ ಆದ್ರಾಯಃ (ಅವಿನಾಶಿ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯ ಮೂಲ)ದಿಂದ ಅವನು ರಾಯಃ (ಧನದ ಪ್ರವಾಹಗಳನ್ನು) ಅಮಂಹತ—ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ ಉಬ್ಬಿಸಿದನು.

शतं मे गर्दभानां शतमूर्णावतीनाम् । शतं दासाँ अति स्रजः ॥
ನನಗಾಗಿ ಶತ—ಗರ್ಧಭಾನಾಂ (ಭಾರವಹಕ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ) ಶತ; ಶತ ಊರ್ಣಾವತೀನಾಂ (ಊನಧಾರಕ ಪೂರ್ಣತೆಗಳ) ಶತ; ಮತ್ತು ಶತ ದಾಸಾಂ—ಸ್ರಜಃ (ಮಾಲೆಗಳನ್ನು) ಮೀರಿಸುವವರು: ಹೀಗೆ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಳು ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ ಸೇರುತ್ತವೆ.

ಅಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಚಲನೆ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ನಡೆಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿತು—ಪೂತಕ್ರತಾಯೈ (ಶುದ್ಧ-ಇಚ್ಛಾಶಕ್ತಿ)ಗಾಗಿ ಪ್ರಕಟವಾಯಿತು; ಕುದುರೆಗಳ ಯೂಥದಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ರಮಬದ್ಧ ಓಟದಂತೆ—ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಒಂದೇ ಸೌಹಾರ್ದಮಯ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಏಕತ್ರವಾದವು.

अचेत्यग्निश्चिकितुर्हव्यवाट् स सुमद्रथः । अग्निः शुक्रेण शोचिषा बृहत्सूरो अरोचत दिवि सूर्यो अरोचत ॥
ಅಗ್ನಿ ಜಾಗೃತನಾದನು—ಜ್ಞಾನಿ, ಹವ್ಯವಾಹಕ; ಅವನು ಸುಮದ್ರಥ (ಆನಂದಮಯ ರಥ)ದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಅವನ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ ಶೋಚಿಷದಿಂದ ಮಹಾನ್ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ದೀಪ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ; ದ್ಯೌನಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರ್ಯನು ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಪ್ರಕಟನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
