Transliteration
upamáṃ tvā maghónāṃ jyéṣṭhaṃ ca vr̥ṣabhā́ṇām | pūrbhíttamaṃ maghavann indra govídam ī́śānaṃ rāyá īmahe ||
Translation
ಹೇ ಮಘವನ್ ಇಂದ್ರ! ದಾನಶೀಲರಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಉಪಮ—ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ; ವೃಷಭಶಕ್ತಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಜ್ಯೇಷ್ಠ. ಪುರ-ಭೇದನದಲ್ಲಿ ನೀನು ಅತಿಶಯ ಸಮರ್ಥ. ಹೇ ಗೋವಿದ (ಗೋವುಗಳು/ಕಿರಣಗಳ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವ), ರಾಯದ ಈಶಾನ! ನಿನ್ನ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯಲು ನಾವು ಬಯಸುತ್ತೇವೆ.
