य उक्थेभिर्न विन्धते चिकिद्य ऋषिचोदनः । इन्द्रं तमच्छा वद नव्यस्या मत्यरिष्यन्तं न भोजसे ॥

Transliteration

yá ukthebhír ná vindháte cikíd yá ṛṣi-códanaḥ | índraṃ tám ácchā vada návyasyā matír áriṣyantaṃ ná bhojase ||

Translation

ಯಾರು ಕೇವಲ ಉಕ್ಥಗಳಿಂದ (ಸ್ತುತಿ-ಪಠಗಳಿಂದ) ಗುರಿಯನ್ನು ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಆದರೆ ತಿಳಿದಿರುವನು—ಋಷಿ-ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಚೋದಿತನಾದವನು; ಆ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಸಂಬೋಧಿಸು; ಹೊಸ ಮತಿ (ಚಿಂತನೆ) ಅವನ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಹೋಗಲಿ—ನಾಶವಿಲ್ಲದೆ, ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿಯ ಸತ್ಯ ಭೋಗ (ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುವಿಕೆ)ವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತ.
