Sukta 8.48
त्वं सोम पितृभिः संविदानोऽनु द्यावापृथिवी आ ततन्थ । तस्मै त इन्दो हविषा विधेम वयं स्याम पतयो रयीणाम् ॥
tvaṃ sóma pitṛ́bhiḥ saṃvidānáḥ ánū dyā́vāpṛthivī́ ā́ tatantha | tásmai te indo havíṣā vidhema vayáṃ syāma pátayo rayīṇā́m ||
ಹೇ ಸೋಮ, ಪಿತೃಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸಂವಿದ್ (ಸಚೇತನ ಸಮ್ಮತಿ) ಹೊಂದಿ ನೀನು ದ್ಯಾವಾ-ಪೃಥಿವಿಯನ್ನು ಅವರ ಗತಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದ್ದೀ. ಆದಕಾರಣ, ಹೇ ಇಂದು, ಹವಿಷಿನಿಂದ ನಾವು ನಿನಗೆ ವಿಧಿಪೂರ್ವಕ ಆರಾಧನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ; ನಾವು ರಯಿಗಳ—ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯ ನಿಧಿಗಳ—ಪತಿಗಳಾಗಿ (ಸ್ವಾಮಿಗಳಾಗಿ) ಆಗೋಣ.
