अदर्शि गातुवित्तमो यस्मिन्व्रतान्यादधुः । उपो षु जातमार्यस्य वर्धनमग्निं नक्षन्त नो गिरः ॥

ádarśi gātu-víttamo yásmin vratā́ny ā́dadhuḥ | upó ṣú jātám ā́ryasya várdhanam agním nákṣanta no gíraḥ ||

ಅವನು ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು—ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಅತ್ಯುತ್ತಮವಾಗಿ ಕಂಡುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವನು—ಯಾವನಲ್ಲಿ ವ್ರತ (ನಿಯಮ-ಧರ್ಮ)ಗಳು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿತವಾಗಿವೆ. ನಮ್ಮ ಗಿರಃ (ಸ್ತುತಿ-ವಾಣಿ)ಗಳು ಸುಜಾತನಾದ, ಆರ್ಯನ ವೃದ್ಧಿಕರನಾದ ಅಗ್ನಿಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಸಮೀಪಿಸುತ್ತವೆ; ಋತದ ಯುಕ್ತ ಕ್ರಮದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಉನ್ನತ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸುವ ಜ್ವಾಲೆ ಅವನೇ.
