उदु तिष्ठ सवितः श्रुध्यस्य हिरण्यपाणे प्रभृतावृतस्य । व्युर्वीं पृथ्वीममतिं सृजान आ नृभ्यो मर्तभोजनं सुवानः ॥
Transliteration
údu tiṣṭha savitaḥ śrudhy asyá hiraṇya-pāṇe prá-bhṛtāv ṛtásya | vy ùrvī́ṃ pṛthvī́m amátiṃ sṛjān á ā́ nṛ́bhyo marta-bhójanam suvān áḥ ||
Translation
ಹೇ ಸವಿತೃ, ಎದ್ದು ನಿಲ್ಲು; ಇದನ್ನು ಕೇಳು—ಹೇ ಹಿರಣ್ಯಪಾಣಿ—ಋತದ ಮುನ್ನಡೆದ ಹೊರುವಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ. ನೀನು ವಿಶಾಲ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನೂ ಅಸೀಮ ಅಮತಿಯನ್ನೂ ವ್ಯಾಪಕವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತೀ; ಮನುಷ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಮರಣ್ಯಯಾತ್ರೆಯನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಭೋಜನ-ಪೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ಪ್ರೇರಿಸಿ ತರುತ್ತೀ.
