Sukta 7.18
यस्य श्रवो रोदसी अन्तरुर्वी शीर्ष्णेशीर्ष्णे विबभाजा विभक्ता । सप्तेदिन्द्रं न स्रवतो गृणन्ति नि युध्यामधिमशिशादभीके ॥
yásya śrávo ródasī antárurvī́ śīrṣṇéśīrṣṇe vibabhā́jā vibhaktā́ | saptéd índraṃ ná sraváto gṛṇanti ní yudhyāmadhím āśiśād abhī́ke ||
ಯಾರ ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ಕೀರ್ತಿ ಎರಡು ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು ಅವರ ವಿಶಾಲತೆಯೊಳಗೆ ತುಂಬಿ, ಶಿಖರದಿಂದ ಶಿಖರವರೆಗೆ ಅಧಿಪತ್ಯವನ್ನು ಹಂಚುವದೋ, ಆ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಏಳು ಋಷಿಗಳು ಹರಿಯುವ ಹೊಳೆಗಳಂತೆ ಸ್ತುತಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಸಮೀಪದ ಮುಖಾಮುಖಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವ ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರನನ್ನು ಒತ್ತಿಹಾಕಿ, ಸಂಘರ್ಷವನ್ನು ಶಮನಗೊಳಿಸಿದನು.
