Sukta 7.16
तं त्वा दूतं कृण्महे यशस्तमं देवाँ आ वीतये वह । विश्वा सूनो सहसो मर्तभोजना रास्व तद्यत्त्वेमहे ॥
táṃ tvā dūtáṃ kṛṇmahe yaśástamaṃ devā́ṃ ā vītáye vaha | víśvā sūno sahaso martábhōjanā rāsva tád yát tvā ī́mahe ||
ಓ ಅಗ್ನೇ, ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ನಾವು ದೂತನಾಗಿ ನೇಮಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ—ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾದ ದೂತನಾಗಿ; ಹವಿಯ ಆಸ್ವಾದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ದೇವರನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಕರೆತಂದುಕೊ. ಓ ಸಹಸದ ಪುತ್ರನೇ, ಮರಣಶೀಲರನ್ನು ಪೋಷಿಸುವ ಎಲ್ಲ ಮಾನವೀಯ ಪೋಷಕ-ಸಂಪತ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು—ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ನಾವು ಬೇಡುವ ಜೀವನಾಧಾರಗಳನ್ನು—ನಮಗೆ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸು.
