Sukta 6.24
न यं जरन्ति शरदो न मासा न द्याव इन्द्रमवकर्शयन्ति । वृद्धस्य चिद्वर्धतामस्य तनूः स्तोमेभिरुक्थैश्च शस्यमाना ॥
ná yaṃ járanti śarádo ná māsā́ ná dyā́va índram avakarśáyanti | vṛ́ddhasya cid vardhatām asya tanū́ḥ stómebhir uktháiś ca śasyámānā ||
ಋತುಗಳೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಕ್ಷೀಣಗೊಳಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳೂ ಅಲ್ಲ; ದಿನಗಳೂ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಕೆಳಕ್ಕೆ ಎಳೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಾಚೀನನಾಗಿಯೂ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಅವನ ಶಕ್ತಿತನುವು ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಲಿ—ನಮ್ಮ ಸ್ತೋಮಗಳೂ ಉಕ್ಥಗಳೂ ಅವನನ್ನು ಶಂಸಿಸಿ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಪಡಿಸುವಂತೆ.
