Sukta 6.17
एवा पाहि प्रत्नथा मन्दतु त्वा श्रुधि ब्रह्म वावृधस्वोत गीर्भिः । आविः सूर्यं कृणुहि पीपिहीषो जहि शत्रूँरभि गा इन्द्र तृन्धि ॥
evā́ pāhi pratná-thā mándatu tvā śrudhí bráhma vāvṛdhasvóta gī́rbhiḥ | āvíḥ sū́ryaṃ kṛṇuhí pīpihī́ṣo jahí śátrūn abhí gā́ indra tṛndhi ||
ಹೀಗೆಯೇ, ಪುರಾತನ ವಿಧದಂತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸು; ಅದು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಆನಂದಗೊಳಿಸಲಿ. ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ (ಮಂತ್ರ)ವನ್ನು ಕೇಳು; ನಮ್ಮ ಗೀರ್ಭಿಃ (ಸ್ತುತಿಗಳ) ಮೂಲಕ ವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗು. ಸೂರ್ಯನನ್ನು ಪ್ರಕಟಮಾಡು; ಸೋಮದಿಂದ ಪೀಪಿಹೀಷಃ (ಉಬ್ಬಿ-ಪೂರ್ಣನಾಗಿ), ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಹರಿಸು; ಮತ್ತು ಹೇ ಇಂದ್ರ, ಗಾ/ಕಿರಣಗಳನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಹತ್ತಿಸಿ ತಳ್ಳು.
