Sukta 5.87
ते रुद्रासः सुमखा अग्नयो यथा तुविद्युम्ना अवन्त्वेवयामरुत् । दीर्घं पृथु पप्रथे सद्म पार्थिवं येषामज्मेष्वा महः शर्धांस्यद्भुतैनसाम् ॥
te rudrā́saḥ su-mákhā agnáyo yáthā tuvi-dyumnā́ avantv evayā́marut | dī́rghaṃ pṛthú paprathé sádma pārthívam yeṣā́m ájmeṣv ā́ maháḥ śárdhāṃsy ádbhuta-enasām ||
ಓ ಮರುತರೆ, ಸುಯಜ್ಞವಂತರಾದ ಆ ರುದ್ರರು—ಬಹು ದ್ಯುಮ್ನವಂತ ಅಗ್ನಿಗಳಂತೆ—ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡಲಿ. ಅವರು ಭೂಮಿಯ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನು ದೀರ್ಘವೂ ವಿಶಾಲವೂ ಆಗಿ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ; ಅವರ ಪಥಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾ ಸೇನೆಗಳು ಚಲಿಸುತ್ತವೆ—ಅದ್ಭುತ ಶಕ್ತಿಯುಳ್ಳ, ದೋಷಾರೋಪಣೆಗೆ ಅತೀತರು.
