यं मर्त्यः पुरुस्पृहं विदद्विश्वस्य धायसे । प्र स्वादनं पितूनामस्ततातिं चिदायवे ॥
Transliteration
yáṃ mártyaḥ puru-spṛ́haṃ vidád víśvasya dhā́yase | prá svā́danaṃ pitū́nām ásta-tātiṃ cid ā́yave ||
Translation
ಯಾವನನ್ನು ಮರಣಶೀಲನು—ಬಹು-ಆಕಾಂಕ್ಷಿತನಾಗಿ—ಸರ್ವದ ಧಾರಕ-ಸ್ಥಾಪಕನಾಗಿ ಅರಿಯುತ್ತಾನೋ, ಅವನು ಯಾಚಕನಿಗಾಗಿ ಪೋಷಣಗಳ ಸಿಹಿಯನ್ನು ಮುಂದಿಟ್ಟು ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಗೃಹಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸುವ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ದಯಪಾಲಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
