Sukta 5.23
स हि ष्मा विश्वचर्षणिरभिमाति सहो दधे । अग्न एषु क्षयेष्वा रेवन्नः शुक्र दीदिहि द्युमत्पावक दीदिहि ॥
sá hí ṣmā viśvácarṣaṇir abhímāti sáho dadhé | ágna eṣú kṣáyeṣv ā́ révann aḥ śukra dīdihi dyumát pāvaka dīdihi ||
ಯಾಕೆಂದರೆ ಅವನು—ವಿಶ್ವಚರ್ಷಣಿ, ಮಾನವಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಸರ್ವವ್ಯಾಪಿ ಮಾರ್ಗದರ್ಶಿ—ಆಕ್ರಮಣಕಾರಿ ಶತ್ರುಬಲಗಳ ಎದುರು ತನ್ನ ಜಯಕರ ಸಹಸನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ. ಹೇ ಅಗ್ನಿ, ಈ ನಮ್ಮ ವಾಸಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಮ್ಮ ಮೇಲೆ ಐಶ್ವರ್ಯಸಹಿತ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸು—ಹೇ ಶುಕ್ರ (ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ); ಜ್ವಲಿಸು, ಹೇ ದ್ಯುಮತ್ ಪಾವಕ, ಜ್ವಲಿಸು.
