Sukta 4.23
कथा महामवृधत्कस्य होतुर्यज्ञं जुषाणो अभि सोममूधः । पिबन्नुशानो जुषमाणो अन्धो ववक्ष ऋष्वः शुचते धनाय ॥
kathā́ mahā́m avṛdhat kásya hótur yajñáṃ juṣāṇó abhí sómam ū́dhaḥ | píban nuśānó juṣámāṇo ándho vavakṣé ṛṣváḥ śúcate dhánāya ||
ಅವನು ಹೇಗೆ ಮಹಾನ್ತನಕ್ಕೆ ಬೆಳೆಯಿತು? ಯಾವ ಹೋತೃ (ಆಹ್ವಾನಕ)ಗಾಗಿ, ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ಅಂಗೀಕರಿಸಿ, ಅವನು ಹಸುವಿನ ಉದ್ದರದಂತೆ ಸೋಮದ ಕಡೆಗೆ ತಿರುಗಿದನು? ಕುಡಿಯುತ್ತ, ಆಸೆಪಟ್ಟು, ಪಿಷಿತ ಆನಂದ-ರಸ (ಅಂಧಃ)ವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುತ್ತ, ಉನ್ನತನು (ಋಷ್ವ) ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ ಧನಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಂಡನು.
