Sukta 3.53
उप प्रेत कुशिकाश्चेतयध्वमश्वं राये प्र मुञ्चता सुदासः । राजा वृत्रं जङ्घनत्प्रागपागुदगथा यजाते वर आ पृथिव्याः ॥
úpa préta kuśikāś cetáyadhvam áśvaṃ rāyé prá muñcatā sudā́saḥ | rājā́ vṛtráṃ jaṅghanat prā́g apā́g úd ag áthā yajāte váre ā́ pṛthivyā́ḥ ||
ಮುಂದೆ ಸಾಗಿರಿ, ಹೇ ಕುಶಿಕರೇ; ನಿಮ್ಮ ಚೇತನೆಯನ್ನು ಜಾಗೃತಗೊಳಿಸಿರಿ; ರಾಯ (ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿ)ಗಾಗಿ ಅಶ್ವವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಮಾಡಿರಿ—ಹೇ ಸುಧಾಸ. ರಾಜನು ವೃತ್ರ (ಆವರಣಕಾರ)ನನ್ನು ಮುಂದೆ, ಹಿಂದೆ, ಮೇಲಕ್ಕೆ—ಎಲ್ಲ ದಿಕ್ಕುಗಳಲ್ಲಿ—ಚೂರುಮಾಡಿದನು; ನಂತರ ಭೂಮಿಯ ವಿಶಾಲತೆಯಿಂದ ಆಯ್ದ ವರ (ವರದಾನ)ಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಅವನು ಯಜ್ಞಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
