होताजनिष्ट चेतनः पिता पितृभ्य ऊतये । प्रयक्षञ्जेन्यं वसु शकेम वाजिनो यमम् ॥
Transliteration
hótā́ janiṣṭa cétenaḥ pitā́ pitṛ́bhyā ūtáye | prayákṣañ jényam vásu śakéma vājíno yámam ||
Translation
ಹೋತೃನು ಜನಿಸಿದನು—ಚೇತನ, ತೇಜಸ್ವಿ—ಪಿತೃಗಳ ನೆರವಿಗಾಗಿ ಪಿತೆಯಂತೆ. ಯಜ್ಞದಲ್ಲಿ ಮುನ್ನಡೆದು ಅರ್ಪಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತ, ವಾಜಿನರ ಯಮ—ಯೋಗ್ಯ ಸಂಯಮ ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ರಮ—ರೂಪವಾದ ಜೆನ್ಯ ವಸು, ಆ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ನಿಧಿಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಜಯಿಸಲು ಶಕ್ತರಾಗೋಣ.
