Sukta 2.23
उत वा यो नो मर्चयादनागसोऽरातीवा मर्तः सानुको वृकः । बृहस्पते अप तं वर्तया पथः सुगं नो अस्यै देववीतये कृधि ॥
utá vā́ yó no marcáyād anā́gaso 'rātī-vā́ mártaḥ sānukó vṛ́kaḥ | bṛ́haspate ápa táṃ vartayā patháḥ su-gáṃ no asyái devá-vītaye kṛdhi ||
ಮತ್ತೆ, ದೋಷವಿಲ್ಲದ ನಮ್ಮನ್ನು ಗಾಯಗೊಳಿಸಲು ಯಾವುದೋ ಮರಣ್ಯ—ತೋಳದಂತೆ ಕ್ರೂರ, ಗುಪ್ತವಾಗಿ ಸರಿಯುವ, ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಶತ್ರು—ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದರೆ, ಓ ಬೃಹಸ್ಪತೇ! ಅವನನ್ನು ನಮ್ಮ ಮಾರ್ಗದಿಂದ ದೂರ ತಿರುಗಿಸು. ದೇವಶಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಆಕರ್ಷಣೆಗೆ (ದೇವವೀತಯೇ) ನಮ್ಮ ದಾರಿಯನ್ನು ಸುಗಮವೂ ತೆರೆಯಾದುದಾಗಿಯೂ ಮಾಡು.
