Sukta 2.22
त्रिकद्रुकेषु महिषो यवाशिरं तुविशुष्मस्तृपत्सोममपिबद्विष्णुना सुतं यथावशत् । स ईं ममाद महि कर्म कर्तवे महामुरुं सैनं सश्चद्देवो देवं सत्यमिन्द्रं सत्य इन्दुः ॥
trí-kadrukeṣu mahiṣó yávāśiraṃ tuviśúṣmas tṛ́pat sómam apibat víṣṇunā sutáṃ yáthāvaśat | sá īṃ mamāda máhi kárma kártave mahā́m urúṃ sá enaṃ saścad devó deváṃ satyám índraṃ satyá índuḥ ||
ತ್ರಿಕದ್ರುಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಿಷ—ಮಹಾಬಲವಂತನು, ತುವಿಶುಷ್ಮ—ವಿಶಾಲ ಪರಾಕ್ರಮವಂತನು—ಯವಾಶಿರ (ಯವಮಿಶ್ರಿತ) ಸೋಮವನ್ನು, ವಿಷ್ಣುನಾ ಸುತಂ—ವಿಷ್ಣುವಿಂದ ಪೀಡಿತ/ಪೀಳಿದ—ತಾನು ಬಯಸಿದಂತೆ ಕುಡಿದನು. ನಂತರ ಮಹಾ ಕರ್ಮವನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಲು ಅವನು ಹರ್ಷಿಸಿದನು—ಮಹಾಮುರು, ವಿಶಾಲವೂ ಪ್ರಚಂಡವೂ ಆದದು; ಮತ್ತು ಸತ್ಯ ಇಂದು (ಸೋಮ) ಸತ್ಯ ಇಂದ್ರನನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿದನು—ದೇವನು ದೇವನಿಗೆ ಸೇರುವಂತೆ.
