Sukta 10.90

Rishi: Nārāyaṇa / Purusha-sūkta tradition (variable)

यत्पुरुषेण हविषा देवा यज्ञमतन्वत । वसन्तो अस्यासीदाज्यं ग्रीष्म इध्मः शरद्धविः ॥

yát púruṣeṇa havíṣā devā́ yajñám atanvata | vasantó asyāsīd ā́jyaṃ grī́ṣma idhmáḥ śarád dhavíḥ ||

ದೇವರುಗಳು ಪುರುಷನನ್ನೇ ಹವಿರೂಪವಾಗಿ ತೆಗೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿದಾಗ, ವಸಂತವು ಅವನ ಆಜ್ಯವಾಯಿತು, ಗ್ರೀಷ್ಮವು ಅವನ ಇಧ್ಮ (ಇಂಧನ)ವಾಯಿತು, ಶರತ್ತು ಅವನ ಹವಿಃ ಆಯಿತು. ಕಾಲದ ಸಮಸ್ತ ಲಯವೇ ಅಂತರ್ಯಾಗದ ಸಾಧನವಾಗಿ ಚೇತನೆಯನ್ನು ಪರಿವರ್ತಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
