Sukta 10.49
अहं तदासु धारयं यदासु न देवश्चन त्वष्टाधारयद्रुशत् । स्पार्हं गवामूधस्सु वक्षणास्वा मधोर्मधु श्वात्र्यं सोममाशिरम् ॥
ahaṃ tád ā́su dhā́rayaṃ yád ā́su ná deváś caná tváṣṭā́dhārayad rúśat | spārháṃ gávām ū́dhaḥ-su vakṣáṇāsv ā́ mádhor mádhu śvā́tryaṃ sómam āśíram ||
ನಾನು ಅವರೊಳಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ಧಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದೆ, ಅದನ್ನು ಯಾವ ದೇವರೂ—ತ್ವಷ್ಟೃ ಸಹ—ಧಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾರನು: ಪ್ರಕಾಶಮಾನ, ಸ್ಪೃಹಣೀಯ ಮಧುರತೆ. ಗೋವುಗಳ ಉದ್ದರಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಸ್ತನಗಳಲ್ಲೂ—ಆ ದೀಪ್ತ ಮೂಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ—ನಾನು ಮಧುವಿನ ಮಧು, ಸೋಮ-ಆಶಿರ (ಸೋಮದ ಮಿಶ್ರಣ)ವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿದೆ; ಆನಂದದ ಪೋಷಣೆಯನ್ನು ದೋಹಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು.
