Sukta 10.4
ब्रह्म च ते जातवेदो नमश्चेयं च गीः सदमिद्वर्धनी भूत् । रक्षा णो अग्ने तनयानि तोका रक्षोत नस्तन्वो अप्रयुच्छन् ॥
bráhma ca te jāta-vedo námaś ceyáṃ ca gī́ḥ sádám íd várdhanī bhūt | rákṣā ṇo agne tánayāni tokā́ rákṣota nas tanvò ápra-yucchan ||
ಓ ಜಾತವೇದಸ್, ನಿನಗಾಗಿ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮ (ಪವಿತ್ರ ವಚನ)ವೂ ನಮಸ್ಕಾರವೂ, ಮತ್ತು ಈ ಗೀತೆಯೂ ಇದೆ—ಅದು ಸದಾ ವೃದ್ಧಿಕಾರಕವಾಗಲಿ. ಓ ಅಗ್ನಿ, ನಮ್ಮ ತನಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಟೋಕಗಳನ್ನೂ (ಸಂತತಿಯನ್ನು) ರಕ್ಷಿಸು; ನಮ್ಮ ತನುವನ್ನೂ ರಕ್ಷಿಸು, ಅದು ಯಥೋಚಿತ ಧಾರಣೆಯಿಂದ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ವಿಚ್ಛಿನ್ನವಾಗದಿರಲಿ.
