Sukta 10.29
मात्रे नु ते सुमिते इन्द्र पूर्वी द्यौर्मज्मना पृथिवी काव्येन । वराय ते घृतवन्तः सुतासः स्वाद्मन्भवन्तु पीतये मधूनि ॥
mā́tre nu te sumíte indra pū́rvī dyáur májmanā pṛthivī́ kā́vyena | várāya te ghṛtávantaḥ sutā́saḥ svā́dman bhavantu pītáye mádhūni ||
ಓ ಇಂದ್ರ, ನಿನ್ನ ಸುಮಿತೆ (ಸುಮಾಪನ)ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಪುರಾತನ ಜೋಡಿ—ದ್ಯೌಃ (ಆಕಾಶ) ತನ್ನ ಮಹಿಮೆಯಿಂದ ಮತ್ತು ಪೃಥಿವೀ ಕಾವ್ಯೇನ (ಋಷಿಯ ರೂಪಕ-ಶಿಲ್ಪದಿಂದ)—ತಾಯಿಯ ಅಳತೆ-ಚೌಕಟ್ಟಿನಂತೆ ಆಧಾರವಾಗಿ ನಿಂತಿವೆ. ನಿನ್ನ ವರಣಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಘೃತವಂತಃ ಸುತಾಸಃ (ಘೃತಸಮಾನ ತೇಜಸ್ಸುಳ್ಳ ಪಿಷಿತ ಸೋಮ) ಪಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಮಧೂನಿ ಆಗಿ, ಸ್ವಾದ್ಮನ್ (ಮಧುರ ರಸ)ವಾಗಲಿ; ನಿನ್ನ ಪಾನಾರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಅದು ಶುದ್ಧವೂ ತೇಜೋಮಯವೂ ಆದ ಆನಂದವಾಗಿರಲಿ.
