Sukta 1.77
एवाग्निर्गोतमेभिॠतावा विप्रेभिरस्तोष्ट जातवेदाः । स एषु द्युम्नं पीपयत्स वाजं स पुष्टिं याति जोषमा चिकित्वान् ॥
evā́gnír gotámebhir ṛtā́vā víprebhir astoṣṭa jātávedāḥ | sá eṣú dyumnáṃ pī́payat sá vā́jaṃ sá púṣṭiṃ yāti jóṣam ā́ cikitvā́n ||
ಹೀಗೆ ಋತದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಿತನಾದ, ಜನ್ಮಗಳ ಜ್ಞಾತನಾದ ಜಾತವೇದಾ ಅಗ್ನಿಯನ್ನು ಗೌತಮರೂ ಪ್ರೇರಿತ ವಿಪ್ರ ಋಷಿಗಳೂ ಸ್ತುತಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಈ ಕರ್ಮಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನು ದ್ಯುಮ್ನ—ತೇಜೋಮಯ ಕೀರ್ತಿಯನ್ನು—ವರ್ಧಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ವಾಜ—ಬಲ ಮತ್ತು ಜಯವನ್ನು—ಕೊಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಚೇತನ ಜ್ಞಾತನಾಗಿ, ಹರ್ಷಪೂರ್ವಕ ಸ್ವೀಕಾರದಿಂದ ವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಪುಷ್ಟಿಯ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಾನೆ.
