Sukta 1.48
वि या सृजति समनं व्यर्थिनः पदं न वेत्योदती । वयो नकिष्टे पप्तिवांस आसते व्युष्टौ वाजिनीवति ॥
ví yā́ sṛjáti sámanaṃ vyàrthináḥ padáṃ ná véty ódatī́ | váyo nákiṣṭe paptivā́ṃsa āsate vyùṣṭau vājinīvati ||
ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿ, ಅನ್ವೇಷಕರನ್ನು ವಿಭಜಿಸುವವಳು—ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸಿ—ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನು ಗುರುತಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾಳೆ. ಪಕ್ಷಿಗಳಂತೆ ಯಾರೂ ನಿಶ್ಚಲರಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಹಾರಾಟಕ್ಕೆ ಸಿದ್ಧರಾಗಿದ್ದವರು ಆಸನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮತ್ತು ಪೂರ್ಣ ಪ್ರಭಾತದಲ್ಲಿ ಚೇತನಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಾರೆ—ಹೇ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿವಾಹಿನಿ (ವಾಜಿನೀವತಿ) ಉಷಸ್ಸೇ.
