Sukta 1.167
परा शुभ्रा अयासो यव्या साधारण्येव मरुतो मिमिक्षुः । न रोदसी अप नुदन्त घोरा जुषन्त वृधं सख्याय देवाः ॥
párā śubhrā́ ayā́so yavyā́ sādhāraṇyéva marúto mimikṣuḥ | ná rodasī ápa nudanta ghorā́ juṣánta vṛ́dhaṃ sakhyā́ya devā́ḥ ||
ದೂರವರೆಗೆ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಿಸುವ, ಅಶ್ರಾಂತ, ಸದಾ ಯೌವನವಂತ—ಮರುತರು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯ ಒಪ್ಪಂದದಂತೆ ತಮ್ಮ ಬಲವನ್ನು ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಬೆರೆಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಎರಡು ಲೋಕಗಳನ್ನು (ರೋದಸಿ) ತಳ್ಳಿಹಾಕುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಭಯಂಕರರಾದರೂ ದೇವರುಗಳು ಸ್ನೇಹಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇರುವ ವೃದ್ಧಿ (ವೃಧ)ಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹರ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.
