Sukta 1.116
वीळुपत्मभिराशुहेमभिर्वा देवानां वा जूतिभिः शाशदाना । तद्रासभो नासत्या सहस्रमाजा यमस्य प्रधने जिगाय ॥
vīḷupátmabhir āśuhémabhir vā devā́nāṃ vā jūtíbhiḥ śā́śadānā | tád rāsábho nāsatyā sahásram ā́jā yámasya pradháne jigāya ||
ದೃಢವಾಗಿ ಹಾರುವ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆಗಳಿಂದಲೋ, ಅಥವಾ ತ್ವರಿತ-ಸುವರ್ಣ ಪ್ರೇರಣೆಗಳಿಂದಲೋ, ಅಥವಾ ದೇವರದೇ ವೇಗದ ಧಾವದಿಂದಲೋ—ನಿರಂತರ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತುತ್ತಾ—ಹೇ ನಾಸತ್ಯೌ, ಯಮದ ಪ್ರಧನ (ಸ್ಪರ್ಧೆ)ದಲ್ಲಿ ಆ ಗಧೆ ಸಾವಿರವನ್ನು ಗೆದ್ದಿತು. ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನಮ್ಮೊಳಗೆ ನಿಮ್ಮ ಶಕ್ತಿಗಳು ಮಿತಿಯೂ ಮರಣಮುಖಿ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸವೂ ಇರುವ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಿಂದ ವಿಜಯದಿಂದ ಬಲದ ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಗೆಲ್ಲಲಿ.
