सुन्दरकाण्डे अष्टपञ्चाशः सर्गः
हनुमद्वृत्तान्तकथनम्, सीताभिज्ञान-प्रदानम्, लङ्कादाह-वर्णनम्
तत्राहं सर्वरात्रं तु विचिन्वन् जनकात्मजाम्।रावणान्तःपुरगतो न चापश्यं सुमध्यमाम्।।।।
tatrāhaṃ sarva-rātraṃ tu vicinvan janakātmajām |
rāvaṇāntaḥpura-gato na cāpaśyaṃ su-madhyamām ||
ಅಲ್ಲಿ ರಾವಣನ ಅಂತಃಪುರಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿ, ನಾನು ಸರ್ವರಾತ್ರಿಯೂ ಜನಕಾತ್ಮಜೆಯನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದೆ; ಆದರೆ ಆ ಸುಂದರ ಮಧ್ಯವಳಿಯ ದೇವಿಯನ್ನು ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ.
